Troubleshooting Hydraulic Pumps

WEBINAR

When a hydraulic problem occurs, the first thing the mechanic or electrician usually does is CHANGE THE PUMP. The pump is usually the most expensive and time consuming component to change. A plywood plant in Virginia recently changed 5 pumps in one week at $3,000 each because of a faulty $200 check valve.

So exactly why is the pump randomly changed? It is because the maintenance person does not have the troubleshooting skills to verify that the pump is good or bad.  In this 90 minute webinar, Al Smiley (GPM's President and Founder) will show you the specific tests that should be made before changing any pump.

When a hydraulic problem occurs, the first thing the local "knob turner" does is to turn the pressures up.  The thinking is, the higher the pressure the better!  Pressures that are set too high cause leakage, shock, over heating, excessive energy usage and machine damage.

In this down economy, plants are seemingly doing everything possible to reduce operating cost. Rarely is the hydraulic system ever looked at  as a money saving opportunity. In this webinar you'll learn the step by step procedure to properly set the pressures in the system to reduce or eliminate the above mentioned issues.

Little or no preventive maintenance is ever done to check the efficiency and reliability of the pump. The thinking is that if the machine is running the pump is fine. You'll find specific reliability tests in this webinar that can be made on a regular basis so that the pump can be changed before causing a system shutdown.

Companies waste thousands of dollars every year by changing out perfectly good hydraulic pumps.  Provide your maintenance crew with the knowledge and skills needed to troubleshoot and maintain your systems  by registering for this webinar now.

The webinar is fully browser based and requires no installation of software on your end.  Our PowerPoint presentation is broadcast directly to your browser. Once you register, you will be able to download and print out the program content. Questions can be asked and answered by text or audio while the webinar is in progress!  All of the benefits of a live instructor are provided with none of the additional costs.  Since the webinar is priced by the number of computers connected and not by attendee, it can be presented on a large screen in a meeting room for the same cost as for one person.

July 31th 9:00 AM EDT
August 4th 11:00 AM EDT

Cost of access is only $325 for the 90 minute webinar!
